WHO WE ARE
Jhanae Sunflower Foundation is a non profit organization based in Miami, FL with a purpose to guide youth and adolescents through mentorship by promoting good health, entrepreneurship and community service.
The Jhanae Sunflower Foundation is a non-profit organization honoring the memory, passion and community service of Jhanae Ingraham. We strive to keep her light shining bright as the facilitator of her living legacy; we are committed to building a bridge to help close the gap of success for people of color; and we will bring this to life by continuing her life’s mission to “love others how you want to be loved."
Our vision is for equality for all in the areas health, education and entrepreneurship.
Our mission is to contribute to change, providing access to tools and resources to help elevate and empower youth.
Health
JSF empowers individuals to live healthier lives by improving their physical, mental, emotional and social health by increasing their knowledge and influencing their attitudes about caring for their well-being. By providing effective educational tools and resources, our community can look and feel good about their health.
Entrepreneurship
JSF encourage entrepreneurship and bring awareness to the community about being able to change the way we live and work. Creating wealth from entrepreneurship ventures makes the marketplace more competitive so that outdated thinking is challenged and doesn't restrain society from growing and developing.
Community Service
Youth and adolescents benefit greatly both academically and emotionally from volunteering their time to make the community and world a better place. While completing community service projects, students develop real world skills that will help them succeed in school, work and beyond.
Education
JSF values education. Knowledge is power, the more you have the more you’re typically able to achieve. It opens up opportunities you may not normally be exposed to. Education meant so much to Jhanae, we have created scholarship opportunities in her honor to help someone who wants to further their education
